Welcome to my practice
What to expect
Most people arrive with a complaint. Sometimes a diagnosis. Dr. Schram’s job is to analyze the complaint and its history. Once there is an understanding, he will discuss treatment options with you. The first focus is usually “Get me out of pain.” That often evolves into addressing the underlying condition. When things resolve, care can shift to a maintenance style to help you stay well.
For the tools used in care, see Techniques.
How long is a visit?
We schedule patients at 15-minute intervals. A chiropractic adjustment itself is often fairly quick. We frequently add body work to support it, and sometimes trigger-point acupuncture. Full-body acupuncture is typically about 30 minutes. We try not to overschedule, so each visit can get the care that person needs. What matters is that the work gets done, not how long it takes.
Exam and treatment usually happen in the same visit.
